Handwashing is one of the most important things one can do to help prevent the spread of disease.

To help prevent the spread of infections, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, handwashing is the single most effective way to prevent to do so.

There is a correct way to wash your hands. Putting them under warm running water and using soap is not all there is to handwashing. To be completely effective, a good lather should be worked up and your hands should be rubbed together for a minimum of 15 to 20 seconds.

If soap and water is not available, using an alcohol based sanitizer is an excellent substitute.
